
MCPF Timur Laut DLC conducted a Crime Prevention Awareness Talk focusing on “Say ‘NO’ to Bullying” to 282 Form 1 to 5 students and over 30 Teachers of SMK Convent Pulau Tikus on 1st August 2018. Hosting the Timur Laut DLC Members – Chairman JM Tan, Secretary Ronald Aeria and Member Peter Paul Arokiyasamy were the Principal Ms. Khaw Juat Woon, Student Affairs Sr. Assistant Puan Amaravathy and Discipline Teacher Puan Nourhanan binti Abdul Hamid. It was a lively and interactive 2 hours session where 3 worthy questions were posed from the audience (1. “Is Sexual Harassment a form of Bullying?” 2. “If I physically hurt myself on purpose e.g. cutting my hand with a knife… how is this related to Bullying?” and 3. “As a teacher, if we see Verbal bullying… what should we do?”) The Timur Laut DLC ‘Ambassadors’ would also like to thank its DLC Member Tuan Mohd Fahmy (Head of Student Affairs Unit, Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Timur Laut) for his presence at the start of the session despite his very tight schedule.
