This was a meeting of “4 Gentlemen in Blue” being outnumbered in the RMP Penang Contingent Female Working Committee official meeting 01/2019 held at the Main Meeting Room, RMP Penang HQ on 01st February 2019. YDH SAC Dato‘ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, RMP Penang (cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman [I]) chaired this meeting accompanied by three of his CPCSD Senior Officers – YDH ACP Som Sak A/L Keliaw (Deputy Head of CPCSD, RMP Penang); YDH Supt. Saw Hock Tek (Staff Officer, Community Policing, CPCSD RMP Penang cum MCPF Penang ex-Officio SLC Member) and DSP Sathasivam A/L Maniam, Community Coordination, CSCSD RMP Penang). YDH Supt. Siti Noor Salawati binti Saad – Staff Officer of AMANITA Contingent, RMP Penang who is also the Deputy OCPD of Seberang Perai Utara was in attendance with Female Staff Officers of RMP Penang Contingent. AMANITA’s role is a vital one in its primary role of “OUT REACH” to the urban and non-urban residents to gather feedback and information from all walks of society. SAC Dato’ Anil Shah stated that AMANITA should work in cognizance with PERKEP (Persatuan Keluarga Polis) to ensure that their community outreach efforts has a continuing positive impact in particular to the women folk. He directed that the focus of adopting a singular residential area should now be doubled up to two in each and every District in Penang. Working together with other NGOs like WCC (Women Centre for Change) and Child Rising on Crime Prevention alongside other ‘like-minded organizations must be pursued. He also stressed on getting ‘Back to Basics’ in AMANITA’s execution of their patrol duties and reminded that the continued pitching of VSP registration by the public is part and parcel of the Critical Performance index as directed by the Inspector-General of Police.
