The Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, Royal Malaysia Police, Penang Contingent YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah [MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I)] shared with MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee Members that the Registration nationwide for Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) Application reached a significant 1,000,000^th milestone on 30^th Nov 2017.

Penang State stands at a very commendable 4^th amongst new VSP registrants from 25^th March 2017 till 29^th November 2017. The efforts of JPJKK IPK and IPDs alongside with MCPF Penang SLC and DLC members and various sectors of the community including USM, Lions Club International and Shopping Malls / Complexes has helped boost the new registrants from just over 2,000 on the 3^rd of August 2017 to 33,170 on 29^th November 2017. This useful interactive ‘immediate on-the-spot’ reporting tool bridges the communication links between PDRM and the general public.
