In his advisory / address, ACP Soffian bin Santong shared his views on current situation with regards to school bullying / gangsterism, school truancy, more effective sharing on Drug issues and making short school programs more effective by having students being involved in presenting / addressing fellow students. Dato’ Nashir Ya highlighted that for Primary school students, the biggest influence is their parents (other than school teachers / principals). Current schools identified as having ‘active’ Kelab Pencegahan Jenayah should become ‘role models’. Follow-up gauging of the effectiveness of our school programs can be done with simple after program dialogues with the teachers / principals concerned.
