MCPF Seberang Perai Selatan DLC led by its Chairman Paramaguru Balan Moghan and accompanied by MCPF SPS DLC Vice-Chairman II Arumugam a/l Rajoo, Secretary Jarmy Goh Jiun Ming, Treasurer Ng Seng Hing and Committee Member Komagan Lingam as well as MCPF Timur Laut DLC Committee Member Andy Ng Jui Boon attended a Walkabout Program and Iftar Ceremony with YDH ACP Mohd Norazlan bin Abd Razak (Deputy Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department [Strategic Planning]). PDRM’s other Senior Officers in attendance included YDH Supt. Nermaljit Singh a/l Bakhtawar Singh (Chief Policy & Resource Management Officer, IPK P. Pinang), DSP Sanizam bin Saad (Community Coordination DSP), Insp. Muhammad Helmi bin Zainudin (Chief of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division, IPD SPS – also, MCPF SPS DLC Vice-Chairman I) and Insp. Nor Shakilia binti Zainol Abidin (AMANITA Chief, IPD SPS). Also in attendance from PDRM’s BPJKKD & IPD SPS were 9 MPV Members, 6 URB Members, 2 Amanita members and 4 Officers from the Sungai Bakap Police Station. Sungai Bakap MPKK (Majlis Pembangunan Komuniti Kampung) were also partners in this Event led by its Chairman Nor Rimi bin Md. Isa who was accompanied by their Secretary Immy Nur Arman bin Ibrahim, Treasurer Mohd Syafiq bin Abd. Latib and 6 members of the Sungai Bakap MPKK Committee. The key objectives of this Community Event included 1. Strengthening the relationship between PDRM and the Community as well as its local residents; 2. Increasing the awareness of the inherent dangers of crime in areas frequently visited by the public; 3. Distribution of crime prevention awareness leaflets and urging the public to cooperate in providing information to the police; 4. Distributing commercial crime prevention campaign materials to Ramadan bazaar visitors, as well as establishing effective communication with the local community in delivering concise and up-to-date information on the latest scammer modes and trends; 5. Exposing the public through the Semakmule application, namely ccid.rmp.gov.my.semakmule and the official Facebook account of the Commercial Crime Investigation Division of IPD Seberang Perai Selatan to avoid becoming mule accounts; 6. Collaboration with the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation Seberang Perai Selatan District Liaison Committee and Ramadan Bazaar Organizers; and, 7. Iftar together with MPV/URB and AMANITA members. Kudos to SPS DLC, PDRM JPJKK IPD P. Pinang / SPS IPD and the Ramadan Bazaar Organizers for their team efforts in this worthwhile community outreach effort.
