MCPF Penang supports PDRM Penang in its Launching of Amanita Adoption & Crime Prevention Awareness Program at Taman Pekaka, SPS

The Official Adoption of Taman Pekaka by the Amanita contingent of PDRM P. Pinang and Crime Prevention Awareness Program with Students and Community was carried out at SMK Saujana Indah, Nibong Tebal, Seberang Perai Selatan on 28th October 2023. The Chief Police Officer of Penang YDH CP Dato’ Khaw Kok Chin attending this Launching Ceremony which was officiated by the Nibong Tebal Member of Parliament and Minister of Education YB Puan Fadhlina binti Sidek. Also present were YB Tuan Rashid bin Zinol, Assemblyman for Sungai Aceh and Penang Entrepreneurship and Rural Development EXCO; YDH SAC Alina binti Saad, Chief Assistant Director of Community Policing, Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, Bukit Aman; YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng, Chairman of Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation, Penang; YDH SAC Puspanathan a/l Wiresingam, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, Penang; YBrs. Dr. Azura binti Abdullah, Director of the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) of Penang; YBrs. Encik Rohai Zahar bin Nedi, Director of Penang State Unity; YBrs. Encik Zarman bin Zainal Abidin, School Principal, SMK Saujana Indah, Nibong Tebal; YBrs. Tuan Rosli bin Hashim, Director of KRT and Madani Community, Taman Pekaka, Nibong Tebal; PDRM Head of Departments, District Police Chiefs, Formation Leaders. Senior Police Officers and Junior Police Officers. Also in attendance from MCPF Penang were Johnny Michael Tan, Secretary; Paramaguru Balan Moghan, SLC Member and SPS DLC Chairman; James Mohan, SLC Member and Barat Daya DLC Chairman; Ng Seng Hing, SPS DLC Treasurer; and Komagan a/l Lingam, SPS DLC Member. Highlights included the Symbolic Landing from the air and a Gerak Gayung Tempur Demonstration by the ’69’ Commando Unit; a Crime Prevention Demonstration by the Penang Police Women’s Contingent; and a ‘Say NO’ to avoid becoming a Cybercrime Victim skeet.

Other community related programs including Exhibition booths by PDRM; interactive kindergarten and school student activities of the community. PDRM has established the Amanita Special Unit to enable focusing efforts to obtain information related to unreported crime incidents in the community especially housewives; additionally, housewives can channel information such as Domestic Violence and Child Abuse crimes, Commercial and SCAM crimes, Narcotic crimes (Drug misuse / abuse), and other social problems such as street gangs and teenage gangs. The Taman Pekaka Nibong Tebal Community has been selected as the PDRM Penang Adoption Residential Park for 2023. MCPF Penang played a role in providing RM 5k sponsorship by Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng; 300 pieces of MCPF bags from MCPF Federal / Secretariat Office and MCPF Penang support of mineral water, biscuits and buns.
