MCPF Penang Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng chaired the MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee Meeting at Bilik Mesyuarat Utama, IPK Pulau Pinang on 18^th April 2022. During this meeting, Letter of Appointment was handed out to YDH CP Dato’ Mohd Shuhaily bin Mohd Zain (Chief Police Officer, Penang) as the Honorary Advisor. YDH ACP Tan Cheng San received the Letter of Appointment on behalf of YDH SAC Mohd Nasri bin Omar (Head of Department, Crime Prevention and Community Safety [JPJKK]) as Vice-Chairman (I) ex-officio as per MCPF Constitution Article 19 (b) (iii) and (c) (ii). Also receiving their Letters of Appointment at this meeting were Harikumar Katherasen, Treasurer and Maj. (R) Wan Abdul Hamid, SLC Member as they were unavailable due to conflicting schedule in the earlier event on 31^st March 2022 at PGC. YDH CP Dato’ Mohd Shuhaily bin Mohd Zain addressed SLC Members and expressed the importance of close cooperation between PDRM and MCPF whom he considers as the lead NGO on Crime Prevention and Awareness efforts. The meeting focused on immediate quad lingual key SCAM poster awareness. Other topics covered per agenda outlined. District Liaison Committee Chairmen present shared the progress of their respective DLC set ups.
