MCPF Penang’s SLC Members Maj. (PAB) Lion Felix Chuah Gim Chuan (also MCPF Timur Laut DLC Vice-Chairman [II]), Lion Choo Eng Hin and ex-Officio SLC Member Shalehudin bin Hj. Hashim of MBPP (also MCPF Timur Laut DLC Member) contributed their personal time on a Sunday morning to participate in a “PlogClean” Pulau Pinang program at Karpal Singh Drive.

The term ‘Plogging’ is a combination of jogging and the Swedish phrase ‘plocka upp’ meaning ‘pick up’. This trend encourages people to stop while out on jogs to pick up litter, by lunging and squatting. As the increasing popular saying goes “Why jog when you can ‘plog’”? – A trend that focusses as much on one’s own health as on the health of the environment. We all are fully aware that the earth is only on loan to us, and we have to leave it to the future generations in conditions much healthier / cleaner than we have it today. Not caring for the environment clearly is a ‘Crime’ against humanity in itself.
