MCPF Penang pays Courtesy Visit to YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang Office, Level 28, KOMTAR

The Chief Minister of Penang YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, received a Courtesy Visit from MCPF Penang headed on 29th September 2023 at his Office, Level 28, KOMTAR by its Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng. In his Welcome Address, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow thanked Dato’ Ong Poh Eng and his accompanying MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee Members. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng thanked YAB Tuan Chow for his time and support to MCPF Penang. He also stated that MCPF Penang is committed to working with the Penang State Government and the Royal Malaysia Police on its ongoing efforts of Crime Prevention and Awareness Programs. He also emphasized on ensuring State wide efforts covering all Districts. MCPF Penang Secretary Johnny Michael Tan presented a report on MCPF Penang’s activities and programs in collaboration with various parties including Government Agencies to increase the level of security awareness and grass root crime prevention across the state. MCPF Penang Advisor Assoc. Prof Dato’ Dr. P. Sundramoorthy iterated that MCPF Penang is currently actively working with PDRM to implement related awareness campaigns especially at District levels. He also expressed MCPF Penang’s appreciation to the Penang State Government for all direct and indirect support for the success of security and crime prevention programs over the years.  Also present from MCPF Penang were Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran, Deputy Chairman; Y.Bhg. Dato’ M. Kaleessvaran, Committee Member; Harikumar Katherasen, Treasurer; Felix Chuah Gim Chuan, Timur Laut DLC Chairman; James Mohan, Barat Daya DLC Chairman; Paramaguru Balan Moghan, SPS DLC Chairman; Munusamy Muniandy, SPU DLC Chairman; Joseph Sawaremuthu, Committee Member and Victor Lim Kok Hooi, Committee Member.
In response, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, who is also the Penang State EXCO for Finance, Economic Development & Land and Communications, welcomed all MCPF initiatives in organising security awareness and crime prevention campaign programs in Penang State. He expressed that it was positive that Penang is being viewed as a safe State in the country. Dato’ Dr. P. Sundramoorthy thanked Tuan Chow Kon Yeow for his support to the recent 10th Forum on Crime & Policing in Malaysia and that TYT Tun had stated his ongoing support for these series of programs. In his closing remarks, Dato’ Ong Poh Eng stressed that efforts on SCAM awareness with PDRM will be pursued.
