
MCPF Penang was invited to participate in a program “Seminar Kepimpinan Murid Asrama Sekolah Harian Peringkat Kebangsaan 2023” (National Level School Hostelite Leadership Seminar 2023) at Hotel Seri Malaysia, Kepala Batas on 24th May 2023. MCPF Penang was represented by James Mohan, SLC Member cum Barat Daya DLC Chairman; Johnny Michael Tan, Secretary; Paramaguru Balan Moghan, SLC Member cum SPS DLC Chairman; Ridzuan Md Zain, SLC Member cum SPT DLC Chairman; Munusamy Muniandy, SLC Member cum SPU SPT Chairman and Rahumathullah bin Ibrahim, SLC Member. This event was organized by the Ministry of Education for 102 Hostelite Leaders who were accompanied by 20+ teachers and school counselors. The invitation to MCPF Penang was initiated by JPNPP State Education Director Tuan Hj. Abdul Rashid bi Abdul Samad, facilitated by Encik Mohd Yazid bin Mat, Assistant Director, Student Unit of JPNPP. James Mohan gave a lively, interactive and engaging talk entitled “Masalah Social dikalangan pelajar” where he introduced MCPF Penang SLC Members present; shared an overview of MCPF Vision, Mission, Goals and ultimate objective; highlighted the key factors influencing Social Problems of School Students (Self, Family background, Financial, Religious Beliefs and Commitment, Circle of Friends Community and the School Environment) and the key roles of teachers and school counselors. Encik Mohd Yazid expressed his as well as conveyed the Penang State Director’s appreciation for the support of this event.
