
MCPF Penang held a productive dialogue with Women’s Centre for Change (WCC) at WCC’s premise 241, Jalan Burma, George Town Penang on 27th June 2022. Ms Loh Cheng Kooi (Executive Director) was accompanied by Ms S. Mangleswary (Service Manager [also MCPF Timur Laut DLC Committee Member and Ms Yeap Yen Ying (Project Officer). MCPF Penang Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng headed the MCPF Penang members who included Secretary JM Tan, Treasurer Harikumar Katherasen, Timur Laut DLC Chairman Felix Chuah Gim Chuan and SPT SLC Chairman Ridzuan Md Zain. This dialogue was initiated by WCC to share with MCPF Penang on Conducting of ‘OK Tak OK’ programs for 500 primary school children in Penang, production of “Lisa and her Secrets” in BM and Mandarin (1,000 copies each) and the production and promotion of four on-line quad lingual posters (English, BM, Mandarin and Tamil) on child abuse. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng and his SLC Team would have the objectives and related budgetary requirements tabled for further discussion. This was a positive discussion and congruent to MCPF’s Mission of Crime Prevention and Awareness.
