MCPF Penang handed over 2,000 copies of “Lisa and Her Secret” (BM and Mandarin versions) to Women’s Centre for Change (WCC) Penang on 2^nd September 2022. In attendance were YB Phee Boon Poh (Penang State EXCO for Environment and Welfare); Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Ayub bin Yaakob (MCPF Sr. Vice-Chairman) and Dr. Isdawati binti Ismail (MCPF Vice-Chairman). MCPF Penang Team included Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng (Chairman); Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran (Deputy Chairman); JM Tan (Secretary), Felix Chuah (Timur Laut DLC Chairman); James Mohan (Barat Daya DLC Chairman); Paramaguru Balan Moghan (SPS DLC Chairman); Ridzuan Md Zain (SPT DLC Chairman); Munusamy Muniandy (SPU DLC Chairman); Y.Bhg. Dato’ M. Kaleessvaran (Committee) and Joseph Sawaremuthu (Committee). Also in attendance were Timur Laut DLC Members Peter Paul Arokiyasamy and Ceffiny Teh. WCC hosts included President Annie Yeap; Datin Seri Dato’ Annie Chin (Fund Raising Ambassador); Loh Cheng Kooi (Executive Director); Karen Lai (Program Director) and Yeap Yen Ling (Project Officer). Introduction of MCPF Members present and WCC Members preceded a superb 6-minutes Video on the history and achievements of WCC Penang. Kudos to WCC for their advocacy of victims of domestic violence / child abuse. A noteworthy event underlining the supportive stance of both the Penang State Government and MCPF towards the vision, mission and key objectives of WCC Penang.
