MCPF North-East (Timur Laut) DLC led by its DLC Chairman JM Tan were invited to provide over 120 Primary and Secondary students of the Girls’ Brigade of Wesley Methodist School (International), Lebuh Sungai Pinang, George Town on 18th April 2019. This short program was hosted by Ms Esther Cheah (Volunteer Teacher-in-Charge of WMS (I) Girls’ Brigade; Ms Grace Ong (School Teacher) and Ms Serene Bala (School Teacher). The school’s Vice-President Mdm. Tan Lee Wah joined the ‘ambassadors’ from MCPF TL DLC during the short post event Tea break.

Accompanying JM Tan to this short and positive event were Tuan DSP Chee Yin Kein (Timur Laut IPD Crime Prevention and Community Safety Head cum MCPF TL DLC Vice-Chairman (I); Ronald Cecil Aeria (TL DLC Secretary); Joseph Sawaremuthu (TL DLC Treasurer) and Kathiraveloo Thangiah (TL DLC Committee Member). All 5 TL DLC Team spoke to the audience covering a potpourri of topics including brief introduction of MCPF; general Crime Prevention Tips; Overcoming Social Media / Network Addiction; Avoiding becoming victims of Rape / Child Abuse; Snatch Thefts and Pickpockets; and Bullying in Schools. This is the first ever program where MCPF Penang SLC / DLC has addressed an independent International type School (outside of the normal Sekolah Rendah / Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan). Bravo to the Team!
