
The MCPF 32nd Annual General Meeting was successfully held on Thursday 20th March 2025, 6:00 pm to 7:15 p at Kenyir Ballroom, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, Precinct 5. MCP Penang attendees in this non-EXCO Voting AGM were 1. YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng, Chairman; 2. YBhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran, Deputy Chairman / MCPF EXCO; 3. Mr. Johnny Michael Tan, Secretary; 4. Mr. Munusamy Muniandy, Seberang Perai Utara Chairman; 5. YBhg. Dato’ M. Kaleessvaran, SLC Member; 6. YBhg. Dato’ Jason Ong MCPF Member; 7. Mr. Gurdeep Singh Riar, MCPF Member; and, 8. Dr. Shamsher Singh Thinh, MCPF Member. This AGM was attended by a total of 108 attendees.

The Agenda encompassed: 1. Opening Intro / Remarks from MCPF Secretariat Operations & Corporate Communications Manager; 2. Negaraku and MCPF Theme Song; 3. Prayer Recital; 4. Welcome Address by YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, Home Minister and MCPF Chairman; 5. Review and Confirmation of the Minutes of the 31st AGM (31st March 2024); 6. Presentation and Approval of Financial Statements ending 31st December 2024; 7. Check and Approval of 2024 MCPF Annual Report Journal; 8. Presentation of motion submitted in writing; 9. Adjournment speech by YB MCPF Chairman; 10. Group Photography; 11. End of MCPF 32nd AGM; and 12. Breaking of Fast with YB MCPF Chairman.
The Summary of Highlights included: 1. YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ayub bin Yaakob, Senior Vice-Chairman MCPF chaired this 32nd AGM in the absence of YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail who had sent his apologies and was unable to be present due to unforeseen circumstance’ 2. Dato’ Seri Ayub bin Yaakob read the speech of Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail. The contemporary challenges, concerns and focus of MCPF in 2024 covered Cybercrimes / Online Scams; Human Trafficking issues, extremism, and drug threats; 3. Dato’ Seri Ayub bin Yaakob iterated the uniqueness of MCPF as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and its role as a bridge between the society at large and PDRM. He urged that MCPF engage in impactful programs addressing real issues covering various segments and strata of society that enhances the awareness of Crime Prevention amongst the general public; 4. Particular emphasis should be placed on the improvement of knowledge and competency skills of our youths and at the same time the security, safety and vulnerability of Senior citizens must not be ignored; 5. YDH SAC Rahimi bin Ra’ais, MCPF Honorary Secretary reviewed MCPF’s 31st AGM Minutes; 6. YBhg. Dato’ (Dr.) Zamrud bin Misdi, MCPF Treasurer presented the 2024 Financial Statements ending 31st December 2024; 7. 2024 Programs / Events and Activities of MCPF Federal, State Liaison Committees / District Liaison Committees were highlighted in a Video montage; 8. The MCPF 2024 Outstanding Police Stations covering 4 categories i.e. Balai Polis di IPD, Balai Polis di Bandar (Towns), Balai Polis di Pinggir Bandar (Outskirts of Towns), and Balai Polis di Luar Bandar (Outside the City) involving 55 Police Stations nationwide were shared including a new Award recognizing a Balai Polis for the use of technologically driven innovation in policing efforts; 9. A written motion by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. King Lim Chin Fui (MCPF Vice-Chairman) to shift the date line for future MCPF AGMs to no later than 31st May was accepted and adopted; 10. Members in attendance then participated in a short Q&A session; 11. In delivering the AGM Adjournment speech, Dato’ Seri Ayub bin Yaakob encouraged MCPF to execute 2025 planned Crime Prevention Programs (with a reminder the 1st Quarter of CY 2024 was almost over), underlined the importance of Teamwork / reduction and removal of ‘Silos’ and to improve publicity of MCPF Efforts and Results that could lead to enhanced Policies / Laws contemporary to today’s changing world. He also stressed the importance of MCPF Members to be continually trained in their knowledge / skills; 12. This MCPF 32nd AGM ended at 7:15 pm. Participants in attendance then proceeded to have a Break Fast Dinner with their Muslim colleagues. A note of thanks to both the Organizing Committee / Secretariat Team and also MCPF Members from Penang State in attendance. Note also that the winners of the MCPF 2024 Outstanding Police Stations would be announced and presentation made on 25th March 2024 during the 218th Police Day Celebrations. Kudos go out to all the winners including Balai Polis Bukit Tengah, Seberang Perai Tengah that won 2nd place in the ‘Balai Polis di Bandar’ category.
