
MCPF Penang SLC organized a farewell luncheon to honor and recognize the outstanding support and collaborative cooperation by Penang’s outgoing CPO YDH CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafar bin Rajab. In his short year long tenure, as Penang CPO and as MCPF Penang’s Honorary Advisor he has been highly supportive and motivational. The farewell luncheon was held at The Islander, Jen Hotel, Penang on 22nd December 2016. In his farewell speech, CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafar bin Rajab expressed his sincere thanks for the collaborative partnership and cooperation on crime prevention efforts that was shown to him and his PDRM Penang contingent. He asked that MCPF Penang continue its professional efforts to his incoming successor YDH CP Dato’ Wira Chuah Ghee Lai who will be taking over the baton in early January 2017. MCPF Penang Chairman Dato’ Syed Jaafar Syed Ali and Deputy Chairman Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy extended their heartfelt appreciation to CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafar for PDRM Penang contingent’s unwavering support to MCPF Penang. Dr. P. Sundramoorthy briefly outlined the increasing importance of District Police involvement in relation to impending rollout of MCPF Programs, Events and Activities to District levels mirroring that of the PDRM’s.
