Pursuant to the latest MCPF Constitution updates of Articles 19 (l) (ii) and Article 20, District Liaison Committees (DLCs) will be set by every State Liaison Committee (SLC). These DLCs will mirror that of the Districts as defined by the Royal Malaysia Police.
For Penang, 5 DLCs will be established and are expected to actively take off the ground in 2017. MCPF Penang Chairman Dato’ Syed Jaafar Syed Ali has entrusted Deputy Chairman Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy to head this thrust and efforts.
On 16th November 2016, Dr. P. Sundramoorthy called for the inaugural DLC Chairmen Meeting at his USM Office. In attendance were himself (doubling up as the Timur Laut DLC Chairman), James Mohan (Barat Daya DLC Chairman), Rahumatullah Ibrahim (Seberang Perai Utara DLC Chairman), EL Ching (Seberang Perai Tengah DLC Chairman) and Dato’ K. Pulayantran (Seberang Perai Selatan DLC Chairman).
