The Organizing Committee of the planned MCPF Penang 2019 International Seminar (to be held sometime in September 2019) is steadily gathering momentum in its planning and preparation efforts. OC Chairman Joseph Sawaremuthu (MCPF Penang SLC Member cum North-East (Timur Laut) DLC Treasurer), Harikumar Katherasen (MCPF Penang Treasurer) and Ridzuan Md Zain (MCPF Penang SLC Member cum SPT DLC Member) met at the Security Department Meeting Room of USM on 9th March 2019 for the 2nd time. The ensuing 3rd Meeting at the same venue on 23rd March 2019 included these three gentlemen as well as James Mohan (MCPF Penang SLC Member cum South-West (Barat Daya) DLC Chairman) and JM Tan (MCPF Penang SLC Member cum North-East (Timur Laut) DLC Chairman. Bracketing the 3rd OC Meeting, Joseph Sawaremuthu met up with MCPF Penang Advocate Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy to get his astute insights on how to make this International Seminar a successful one, meeting up with him at Kayu Restaurant, Bukit Jambul on 13th March 2019 and following up further at the same venue with additional ‘recruit’ – an expertise in Cyber and Telco technologies and challenges i.e. another USM Associate Professor Dr. Selvakumar Manickam of the National Advanced iPv4 Centre (NAV5). The Organizing Committee will continue to deliberate in greater details including finalizing of the Seminar Theme, selection and invitation of subject matter expertise as Speakers, working on the venue and other logistics requirements in future meetings.
