
The 2017 7th MCPF Penang SLC Meeting held at Bilik Gerakan, Bangunan Persekutuan, Anson Road on 3rd August 2017 had an eventful agenda. Besides the normal SLC Meeting proceedings, MCPF Penang SLC Chairman Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali shared with members present that Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy had vacated all portfolios in MCPF Penang State and Federal level to focus on his pursuit of Educational excellence. Much loved Dr. P. Sundramoorthy remains an ordinary MCPF Member and looks forward to continuing collaborative relationship with MCPF Penang and in particular USM Crime Prevention Programs and Events. MCPF Penang wishes Dr. P. Sundramoorthy all the very best in his future endeavors and thank him whole heartedly for being a stalwart member of MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee for close to two decades.
In line with Dr. P. Sundramoorthy leaving MCPF Penang SLC, Chairman Dato’ Syed Jaafar Syed Ali endorsed the following changes and appointments: 1. Deputy Chairman: Dato’ K. Pulayantran; 2. Vice-Chairman II: Rosli Mohamed Ali; 3. Secretary: EL Ching; 4. Timur Laut DLC Chairman: JM Tan and 5. SLC Member: Paramaguru Balan a/l Moghan. Congratulations to all the new Appointees.
Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar also thanked all who had given their utmost support in the recent 3rd MCPF Penang Fund Raising Golf and Dinner Event at Penang Golf Club. The Organizing Chairman added that the total funds raised were being reconciled with Treasurer Harikumar Katherasen and more details will be shared in the next SLC Meeting.
