MCPF SPS DLC and MCPF Penang attends Design Village Community Outreach Program ‘Talk To Us’ headed by IPD SPS

MCPF Penang, MCPF Barat A South Seberang Perai District Community Outreach Program “Talk To Us” was held successfully inaugurated at Design Village Outlet Mall, Batu Kawan on Sunday 24th November 2024 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. Superb attendance from IPD SPS included YDH Supt Chong Boo Khim (SPS District Police Chief); YDH DSP Mohd Norazmi Bin Abd Ghapar (Deputy SPS District Police Chief); Insp. Nurul Asshyikin binti Abd Raman (Division Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety / also MCPF SPS DLC Vice-Chairman (I) ex-officio and All Division Heads of IPD SPS; All SPS Police Station Chiefs; Four Officers & Personnel from BSJKD (Commercial Crime Investigation Division) (Exhibition); Four Officers & Personnel from BSJD (Crime Investigation Division) (Exhibition); Eleven personnel from BPJKKD (Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division); and, Five Amanita SPS members. VIP Attendees were Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng – Chairman of Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Penang State; and, Y.Brs. Encik. Hairusany bin Abd Hamid – Security Manager, Design Village Outlet Mall, Batu Kawan, Penang. MCPF Federal’s Tuan. Norazlan Hj. Idris (Corporate General Manager) was also present. MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee included Mr. Johnny Michael Tan (Secretary); Kapt. Bersekutu (PA) Paramaguru Balan Moghan (SPS DLC Chairman); and, Encik. Rahumathullah Ibrahim (Committee Member). Lending active support from MCPF SPS DLC were Mr. Arumugam Rajoo (Vice-Chairman [II]); Mr. Jarmy Goh Jiun Ming (Secretary); Mr. Ng Seng Hing (Treasurer); Mr. Komagan Lingam (Committee Member); and Ms. May Lee Hooi Peng (Committee Member). Also providing interactive presence were MCPF Members Mr. Ooi Say Chong; Mr. Cheong Yu Hoo; and, Mr. Tony Tan Kai Loon.

This Program also saw the positive support and participation from Lions Club Penang Millennium and representatives from the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) SPS. The Program Objectives included: 1. Enhancing positive relations between the Police and the local community; 2. Raising awareness of the roles of PDRM and related agencies such as MCPF, AADK, and Lions Club Penang; 3. Facilitating information sharing and resolving community issues through interactive sessions; 4. Demonstrating strong collaboration among various agencies to ensure community safety and well-being; 5. Hosting exhibitions and interactive booths featuring agencies like the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Commercial Crime Investigation Department, MCPF, AADK, and Lions Club Penang, where the public can provide feedbacks, ask questions and obtain direct first hand information; and 6. Conducting interactive activities, including “Arrest demonstrations” and walkabouts to raise public awareness about the roles and duties of PDRM. This Community Outreach Program underlined and is living up to the Royal Malaysia Police tagline of “Polis Dan Masyarakat Berpisah Tiada” (“Police and Society in Unison”).
