In a landmark event jointly organized by MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee and its District Liaison Committees of Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police Penang Contingent, and the Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai (MPSP) a “Town Hall Meeting with the Community” Event was successfully held at the Auditorium of Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai (MPSP) at Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam.
An educative talk on “Perception of Crime Index” was delivered by MCPF Penang Deputy Chairman Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy in his usual down to earth and passionate style. His sharing ranged from Crime Index, and aspects of Crime statistics that were under the purview of other authoritative bodies like the Immigration Department, Customs and Excise Department and National Anti-Drug Agency.

MC of the Day James Mohan as always was the charismatic livewire with his Malay Pantun filled smooth flowing delivery.
The Q&A Dialogue Session consisting of MCPF Penang Chairman Y.Bhg Dato’ Syed Jaafar Syed Ali, MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (II) Dato’ K. Pulayantran, YDH Supt. Zainudin bin Mahadi of JPJKK, IPK Penang and Event Chairman MCPF Penang SLC Member EL Ching moderated by Dr. P. Sundramoorthy was a success factor with numerous questions being posed by the audience. All members of the Q&A Panel Session responded well to the crowd at large.  The moderator assured the audience that their questions and concerns would be addressed and brought up to the not only MCPF Federal level but also relevant bodies that could help to find solutions.

Zainudin bin Mahadi (Pegawai Terus Kepolisan Komuniti and rep for HOD, JPJKK Penang, YDH Supt. Shafee bin Abd Samad (OCPD of SPS) and YDH Supt Hj. Abd Aziz bin Daud (Deputy OCPD of SPU).  YDH Tuan Azahan bin Ahmad, Penghulu Tinggi of SPU represented the District Officer of SPU. The 113 crowd in attendance included JKKK SPU (22); JKKK SPT (25); JKKK SPS (9); NGOs (40); Security Managers (5); District Liaison Committee Members (13); VIPs (15) and MCPF Penang SLC and ex-Officio SLC Members (11). Bravo to the Organizing Committee chaired by (SPT DLC Chairman) EL Ching and well supported by his fellow District Liaison Chairmen Dato’ K. Pulayantran (SPS) and Rahumatullah Ibrahim (SPU).
