The Chief Police Officer of Penang, YDH CP Dato’ Khaw Kok Chin attended the Letter of Appointment Ceremony as Honorary Advisor of MCPF Penang which was held at the Bilik Mesyuarat Utama, IPK P. Pinang. In his address, YDH Dato’ KP congratulated the appointments of Advisor MCPF Penang YBhg. Dato’ Dr. P. Sundramoorthy; Deputy Chairman, YBhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran and other Office Bearers and State Liaison Committee Members of MCPF Penang. He also congratulated YDH SAC Puspanathan a/l Wiresingam*, HOD JPJKK P. Pinang who in this capacity is automatically appointed as the Deputy Chairman (I) ex-officio in accordance with MCPF Constitution. He underlined that PDRM through the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) is always ready to co-operate with MCPF in making Crime Prevention Programs throughout Penang a success.  YDH Dato’ KP expressed his hope that MCPF Penang will continue to co-operate with PDRM to make Penang a safe and prosperous state. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng thanked YDH CP Dato’ Khaw Kok Chin for his acceptance as MCPF Honorary Advisor. Dato’ Ong emphasized that all MCPF Penang SLC Members appointed for the 2023-2025 Term of Office must be prepared to work hard and in a responsible manner. He explained that all had come forward voluntarily to give their utmost effort. He looked forward to MCPF Penang as being one of the best nationwide. Also in attendance were YDH DCP Mohamed Usuf bin Jan Mohamad, Deputy CPO, Penang; YDH SAC Winston Tan Thye Wah, Head of Special Branch Pulau Pinang; YDH SAC Rahimi bin Ra’ais, Head of CID; YDH SAC Puspanathan a/l Wiresingam, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department; Heads of Department; District Police Chiefs and Senior Police Officers. Kudos to YBhg. Dato’ Dr. P. Sundramoorthy on his appointment as Advisor, MCPF Penang; YBhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran as Deputy Chairman; Johnny Michael Tan as Secretary; Harikumar Katherasen as Treasurer; and all MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee Members i.e. YBhg. Dato’ M.
