A successful ‘Majlis Suaikenal MCPF Pulau Pinang dengan Ketua Polis Negeri Pulau Pinang’ (‘Getting-To-Know’ MCPF Penang together with the Chief Police Officer of Penang State’ Event) was held on the evening of 1^st July 2020 at Restoran Pen Mutiara, Batu Maung. 25 MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee Members / ex-Officio Members headed by its Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali were in attendance. The VIP was YDH CP Dato’ Sahabudin bin Abd Manan, CPO Penang. Also in attendance were YB Dato’ Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Hussain (EXCO Penang State Government); Y.Bhg. Dato’ K. Pulayantran (MCPF Penang Deputy Chairman / MCPF Federal EXCO); Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng (MCPF Federal EXCO / MCPF Penang SLC); Y.Bhg. Associate Professor Dato’ Dr. P. Sundramoorthy (MCPF Federal EXCO); YDH SAC Dato’ Zundin bin Mahmood (HOD, Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, RMP Penang cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman [I]); Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Yusof Taiyoob (Managing Director, Yusof Taiyoob Sdn. Bhd.); and OCPDs / Representatives. Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar opened the event with his Welcoming Speech and shared a short briefing on MCPF itself. He thanked PDRM, the Penang State Government and other MCPF Penang friends for their continued support toward MCPF Penang. YDH CP Dato’  Sahabudin bin Abd Manan expressed his heartfelt appreciation to MCPF Penang for organizing this special event  and acknowledged the splendid collaboration / cooperation with PDRM Penang in its Crime Prevention efforts. Master of Ceremony for the evening James Mohan (MCPF Penang SLC / Barat Daya DLC Chairman) then introduced all MCPF Penang SLC Members / ex-Officio Members present to the VIP / Guests present.  Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali had the honor to present the ‘Watikah Perlantikan Penasihat MCPF Pulau Pinang’ to YDH CP Dato’ Sahabudin bin Abd. Manan. This was followed by the presentation of a cheque with funds collected by the Penang Golf Club CEO Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng to Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali. The funds were made possible by a joint organizing (PGC, MCPF Penang, RMP Penang) of a Golf Tournament / Farewell Dinner for the previous Penang CPO YDH Dato’ Narenasagaran Thangaveloo at PGC on 23^rd February 2020). Y.Bhg. Dato’ K. Pulayantran presented the token souvenir from MCPF Penang to YDH CP Dato’ Sahabudin. Dinner was served and the evening program culminated with the Closing Address by Y.Bhg. Associate Professor Dato’ Dr. P. Sundramoorthy shared the background and insights into MCPF efforts in Crime Prevention and the challenges faced by this NGO that was being ably served by volunteers nationwide.
