Sundramoorthy on being appointed to the ‘Jawatankuasa Khas Kajian Hukuman Gantian Terhadap Hukuman Mati Mandatori’ (Special Review Committee to assess alternative sentencing in lieu of the Mandatory Death Sentence) by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law) YB Datuk Liew Vui Keong on 20th September 2019. Dato’ Dr P. Sundramoorthy is among a panel of 9 special appointed members of this committee chaired by Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Richard Malanjum who have been given a specific charter to have this task completed within 3 months.
