
MCPF SPT SLC and RMP SPT District led a Crime Prevention and Governing Laws Awareness Program at Dewan Al-Ghazali, SMK Penanti, Bukit Mertajam, SPT on 19th July 2019. RMP SPT’s delegation was headed by ASP Azman b, Mohd Kayat (KBPJKK SPT cum MCPF SPT DLC Vice-Chairman [I]); Insp Bahtiar b. Bacho (PPS); Sjn 113399 Zulkarnain b. Mohd Hairani; Kpl 117288 Jamaluddin b. Yusoff and IPD SPT MPV and URB team members. MCPF SPT DLC were represented by its Treasurer Ridzuan Md Zain and DLC Member Puan Nirmala A/P Kuppusamy. SMK Penanti included an audience of 104 of its teaching staff headed by its Principal Tuan Haji Mohd Munir b. Md Ramli; Puan Nazirah bt Omar (PK HEM) and Encik Abdullah b. Abd Rahman (PK Kokurikulum). ASP Azman b. Mohd Kayat and Ridzuan Md Zain both took the stage to address the 760 students of Forms 3, 4, 5 and 6. The Police address encompassed Crime Prevention, VSP Registration and use, success stories of RMP, the importance of cooperation between the community and the Police to reduce crime rate in SPT, detrimental usage of vape by school students, consumption of ‘Ketum’ by school students, arrest of students for wrong doings, general issues faced by students and to motivate the students to become good citizens in future. Ridzuan Md Zain iterated concerns pertaining to usage of vape and how to say ‘NO’ to Bullying. This program is a step toward encouraging closer cooperation between school authorities, PDRM and MCPF to be more aware on Crime Prevention and combating Crime as one.
