A “Glory of Independence” Program (Program Semarak Kemerdekaan) was organized by the National Anti-Drug Agency and Drug Rehabilitation Committee was held at the Community House (Rumah Komuniti) in Scotland Road on 2^nd September 2018. YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, RMP Penang cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I); YDH Supt. Saw Hock Tek, CPCSD RMP Penang HQ cum MCPF Penang SLC Ex-Officio Member and YDH DSP Chee Yin Kein, CPCS Unit Head of North-East District, RMP cum MCPF North-East District Liaison Committee Vive-Chairman (I) were in attendance alongside 30 Police Staff from the Tourist Unit of Penang. The Program was officiated by YB RSN Rayer, Jelutong MP. The Chairman of the Drug Rehabilitation Committee for North-East District Mr. Elango Govindasamy delivered the Welcoming Address.

Taking turns to inspire the crowd in attendance including NGO representatives and Drug Rehabilitation Program participants were Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Yusof Latif, President of PEMENANG who spoke about our country’s Independence; YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah who stressed on Community Safety; and Encik Ahmad Nazir B Long, Director of AADK, Penang. Highlights of the Program included the RMP’s e-Bicycles and VSP Promotion and the distribution of flags to drivers of vehicles passing by.
